One of the core values of Community Helping Hands is that we partner with and develop ministries with local churches. We consider ourselves to be an instrument of the church for helping hurting people and connecting them to the family of faith to meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Please contact our Director of Ministries if your church is interested in:
- Organizing a service project for youth groups, small groups, or members of your church engaged in outreach and service.
- Developing ongoing ministries at Community Helping Hands such as bible studies and prayer groups; tutoring and mentoring programs; opportunities for art, writing, crafts, or other creative activities; financial/budgeting and other practical classes. Help us empower people to help themselves and others! We will work with your church to develop a ministry to help low income individuals and families in need.
- Supporting the work of Community Helping Hands financially.
Churches may also refer people to CHH who are in need of emergency clothing, furniture or other household items. Please call the office and we will fax or e-mail our written referral form for you to use, along with our general policies and procedures for getting a person a voucher to use in the furniture showroom and Depot thrift store.
